Playstation 3?
I have bought my son a Playstation 3 for christmas which he does not know he's getting as I told him we could not afford it. He has asked for a Dvd player instead? but does the Playstation 3 play Dvd's?

- The ps3 reads Dvd's as long as they are not pirated. Trust me a ps3 is way better than a Dvd player, you did the right thing in my opinion. Also if he has a Hd tv, you could buy blue ray dvds which will look so much than a normal Dvd disc, at least thats what I heard, I am still waiting to buy my own Hd tv. The ps3 is the new Dvd player today...........it ROCKS!!
