- Sounds like you must play the waiting game...I know it breaks your heart...just don't give up. Check out... http://www.amazon.com http://www.bestbuy.com http://www.buy.com http://www.ebgames.com http://www.ebay.com Make ebay your last option - it's so expensive there!! Edit: Power source The Wii Remote uses two AA batteries as a power source, which can power a Wii Remote for 60 hours using only the accelerometer functionality and 30 hours using both accelerometer and pointer functionality.[33] An official direct recharging option for the Wii Remote has not yet been revealed, but various third-party manufacturers market charging solutions for the controller (see section on chargers). According to an interview with Nintendo industrial designer Lance Barr, limitations of the Wii Remote's expansion port make it unlikely that it will be used for internal battery charging.[40] Although Nintendo discourages other rechargeable battery types such as lithium ion (Li-ion) and nickel-cadmium (NiCd), the company's support website indicates that nickel-metal hydride (NiMH) rechargeable batteries may be used.[41] A 3300µF capacitor provides a temporary source of power during quick movements of the Wii Remote when connection to the batteries may be temporarily interrupted.[42] http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wii_remote#Power_source
- There are gonna be people outside when the store opens so they will sell out within an hr on Friday. Ask that an early Christmas present is that you go to school an hour or two late to get it in the morning. Make sure you are at that store at least two hours before it opens. I got mine on the first day they came out and I waited 90 mins. Gamepro is giving rain checks so you can pay for it now and they will guarantee you will have one next month. They take double A batteries. If you are an extreme player, you should change them once a week.
- Well my brother has two on craigs list DC/MD area But the only way to get one is to be home during the day when nobody else is shopping...But right now most ppl are on vacation and it a lil to late for that...So u kinda short if youre not able to get there during the daytime. Batteries depends on usage they have rechargables now with the charging dock They take two double AA is im not mistaking But the wii is mad fun bought it for my daughter last year...Hope u luck up on one

- I had the same problem, but now I've given up on the Wii. I'll get one after Christmas. I'll just have to play on my brother's until then.

- Hello! I had the same issue when I tried to Buy Nintendo Wii. I am not sure if it's some crazy Marketing strategy, but Nintendo no longer supply its game console.. I stumbled across a website that offered these consoles so I ordered through them and It was shipped to me at no cost. I believe I paid 600$ for the console and whole bunch games and accessories with it. The link is in the source :) Hope it helps, Alex
- First of all I wish you best luck to find a Wii before christmas by accident somewhere but don't count on being lucky enough. The demand for the Wii is so high, the rows of customers so long and the time they are sold out in every shop that gets a shipment is so short that you really should consider to have a little more patience and to wait how the situation develops after the Christmas holidays. At the moment the prices have reached very high levels and it quite probable that you will pay much less in the new year. So, if you can wait to get a Wii just a little more you should do it. Some more info about Wii Availability can be found there: http://wii-availability.sampasite.com The batteries they use are AA.
