Arcade Machine Repair Help?
Hello, I have recently gotten an original 1987 Taito Rastan Arcade Machine. I have plugged it in and the lights on the marquee and the lights that aim down at the joysticks turn on, but the game will not turn on. The screen flickers but no game. I also have the original owners manuel that has the wire diagram and some type of push button sets to change certain settings for the game. I was hoping to restore the game but this being my first one I have no idea where to start. If anyone has any info on how to fix this certain machine or any good info on how to fix a arcade machine of this type would be very helpful. I am looking for any tips to help me. Thanks

- The basics: Check all grounds, Check board on another jamma machine. Is there game sound? Clean all connectors on board and jamma loom. Is board installed with component side up?There is also a switch inside that the back door butts up to. Run a ground wire from the ground on the Jamma pcb to any screw on the transformers base.-Good luck!
