i got 1 at xmas and its thebest thing i bought the bluray film are amazing....hard to explain but they so much clearer than dvd....really is noticable tho games are amazing...call of duty 4 will give a nervous breakdown cos u will think u are there. the pseye in so cool...some of the things it adds to games are cool....in burnout if sum crashes u off coarse...it takes foto of u and of them and swaps them its so funny.....i could go on and on at how good it is but just goto youtube and type in ps3 or pseye and u will see what i mean. if u dont buy one you will regret it
It is awesome and by the way don't worry about the backwards compatibility with the 40g because the games that are available are more than enough to keep you entertained. now the features, free online is awesome, i was able to play online within a few hours since the process is pretty easy There are many playstation users so you won't have a problem finding people to play with Some great games are out and are already coming out. When you buy your ps3 i suggest you buy Uncharted: Drakes Fortune and Call of Duty 4. Haze and little big planet are some of the awesome new releases coming this year It has a built in intercooler, Wireless controllers, and a built in blue ray player which is awesome. The final great thing about the os3 is you can upgrade your hard drive with any brand. Most commonly a laptop hard drive Hope that persuaded you to get the ps3 even more. it has about the same graphics interface as the xbox 360 but the games are much more expensive. here in Australia the games range between $100 to $150 but the online play is free and you don't need to buy it such as xbox live. and the games on ps3 are very enjoyable because you have excellent graphics and great online qualifications so in my opinion i would go for the PS3 but dont get the new games right away just wait a bit til they go down.
i gt my ps3 the week it was launched and still no problem with it, the games are getting so much better, for example unreal tournament 3, metal gear solid 4 coming soon, also a cheap blu ray play, and online it is free
ok so it has bluray which is great it can play hd dvd as well umm great games remote play the is better sorry i cant explain i would go on but let me explaine quickly its great has better graphics cos it works on blu ray HD DVD only has15 GB (single layer) 30 GB (dual layer) while bluray has 25 GB (single layer), 50 GB (dual layer). bluray has won the format war. free online play , playstation home , can download ps3 demos for free , it has great games like devil may cry 4, wen grand theft auto 4 is released it will be on 2 disks for 360 and 1 dosk for ps3 . the only problem i have encountered with the ps3 is its over heationg this can lead to it breaking if it over heats. to prevent this keep it in a cool room and donr put a fan next to it cos that just gets it the way of its in built cooling system and pushed the hot air and dust back in and wrecks it. 360 has red ring of death and the laser isnt adjusted properly so it scratches the disks so much more seriously but i have to go. hope that helps .
My husband bugged me for over a year to let him get one and I couldn't see the point in it (we already have a wii). Then I cracked this week and let him do it....TOTALLY worth it. And this is coming from a skeptic....
i think its worth buyinhg because its basically a big psp and u can load pictures music videos and u can get cool demos and other things and it has the best graphics on it games so i reccommend u buy it because u would enjoy it
It has amazing games with outstanding graphics, it's a great multimedia center. It's totally worth it.

Last year I bought a Wii, and I loved it, great gameplay, some fun games and overall just a fun system to have around. I did purchase a Sony PlayStation 3 last month to fill the void that the Wii left with certain titles (such as NHL 08) but being a movie buff, the biggest selling point to me was Blu-Ray. If you presently look on the market average cost of Blu Ray players is about $500. a PS3 (40GB) is $399 or 80GB for $499. You're getting the functionality of a Blu Ray player, along with a Gaming system with outstanding Graphics that continue to make me drool on a daily basis So it's definately worth the money.
