3. Seriously Half Life2 is fantastic, if you buy 'Orange Box' you get three versions plus Portal which is amazing and Team Fortress 2 awesome multiplayer madness.

5. I suggest you goto a gaming site (GameSpot.com is a great one) and read the User reviews. Most games have demos, always try that out (assuming you have high speed internet). The last thing you would want to do is waste $30-$60 on something you'll never play.
