How good do normal DVD's look when played on a Playstation 3 through a HD TV?

- They look great, the PS3 upscales them to 1080p and they look better than on a regular DVD player.

- They are immense , seriously , I have a 1080p television with a hd cable and the graphics are great. I recommend you get a hd cable if you don't have one so you can experience one of life's little wonders. You should also try a blue ray DVD , I haven't yet but normal DVDs are great so what will blue ray be like?
- I agree. The DVD video gets upscaled to HD resolution and looks very good indeed. This includes animation, which is traditionally more difficult than live motion to upscale due to the larger areas of solid colour and the high contrast edges. The PS3 does an excellent job of upscaling.
