Why is the Nintendo Wii not available everywhere and is saying out of stock?

I am buying a Nintendo Wii for my birthday, There is a problem. I am not finding it in any store. Everywhere, it says out of stock. Nintendo has to make more because the wiis get sold out 10 minutes after the store opens. This is ridiculous.

1. ya..thats right..sometimes its like that..maybe u have to wait for the stock to come...hope u enjoy when u get the Nintendo Wii..
2. high demand and shot supply will cause this every time. They can not make them fast enough for the demand.
3. Try http://www.outtastock.com/wii/ and download the widget. It alerts you when Wii is in stock. I also recommend www.spoofee.com, as they often alert users to the release of stock, such as at Toys 'R Us. There will be many releases of stock during this Thanksgiving to Christmas holiday period; you just have to be persistent. Nintendo didn't expect such wild demand so they are trying to catch up on supply.
4. Everybody wants one for Christmas so the supply is very low. Its impossible to find one online for 250.00 anymore. The online stores have plenty of bundles in stock but the starting price is around $325.00 and higher.
5. Too much demand for it, especially with the holidays just around the corner. It will be very difficult to find one, call in the stores and ask them what day they are going to get some in...and go that very same day early just before store opens.
6. I got ours by asking the fellows at gamestop when they were expecting a shipment. Then I hung out in the mall that day watching for the UPS guy. Once UPS came in the mall, I followed him into the store, put my purse on the counter and told the clerk "l'd like one of those" pointing to the PLAIN BROWN WRAPPER BOXES that UPS just delivered. Clerk opened the box and 'voila' there were 3 Wii systems inside!
