Is the nintendo wii suppose to feature online play?

I'm thinking of to get either a nintendo wii or a ps3. Except the only problem is that I dont know if the wii is gonna have online play. So does anyone know?

5. Yes. Here's a list of games that will have online play: Mario Strikers Charged Pokemon Battle Arena Super Smash Bros Brawl Animal Crossing Guitar Hero III Geometry Wars Metroid Prime 3 Note that these games aren't available yet, but are supposed to be released by the end of 2007.
6. There will be, but Nintendo has yet to give out the online information to other companies. The first online game will be Pokemon (in the US at least).
