how do I get my wpa key to play online with my sony psp?

i have a sony psp and want to get wifi, but it says i need to type in a wpa key.how do I get it in laymans terms? I really want to get on the net and play online with it. ive tried typing in my ip address in the address bar and nothing happened.

  1. You open internet explorer and log into your wireless router by keying in the following IP Address: 192.168.0.1(sometimes its different). Use admin as your username, and leave the password blank, unless you have set up a username/password for your router already, in which case you would use those. Browse through all the various tabs/hyperlinks until you find the WPA settings for your router, at which point you can find your WPA key and make a note of it. you then select the appropriate network or SSID(again you can look for this name in your router settings) on your psp, then when prompted to input the WPA key, you enter it. Your PSP should now be internet ready, if you have issues with the PSP connecting and disconnecting frequently, you may want to go into your wireless router settings and adjust the amplitude of the antenna to the maximum possible setting.
