Should I get an Ipod Classic 80gb or a Sony PSP? What is the storage capacity of a PSP?
The ipod 80gb has 100 hours of movies and up to 20,000 songs but the psp has a bigger screen and you can play games. The ipod is $317 and the PSP $288(au). I'm looking for something with high quality video with heaps of space, and good quality sound.

- Hey, Well ask yourself this: Do you want to play games? If you do then go for a PSP but if not go for the iPod. The PSP has much better quality screen but the iPod has better sound quality. All the best BabyGal :) x P.S i have both of these so pls email me if you have any questions about either of them =]
- I have both. The PSP has as much storage as you can get on a memory card. You can't save anything on it without a card. The IPod has the space it comes with and there is no way to obtain more. Both are great. It all depends if you want to play games or not. Games cost extra and so do movies if you get the PSP.
- i have a psp and an ipod nano. i use my ipod all the time, but i rarely use my psp. one reason is that games are so expensive. But on the PSP you can get on the internet from a wireless connection and save pictures to your memory card. memory cards are $30 used for the smallest storage and can go up to $100 for the largest storage (sorry i forgot what the storage on the memory cards were). the ipod is cool but you have to pay for your songs (.99 a song). you can find websites like limewire and bearshare and download free music, but they have viruses and kill the hardrive on your computer. if you get a psp you can only put songs on it from a disk, not straight from itunes. overall i would go for the ipod since you can have music and videos. Hope this helps.
- It is according to what you want to do? If you intend to play games then PSP it is? If it is more of a listening / viewing situation then iPod 80 GB is it. Realize that videos or music you have to put on the device by paying for them or obtaining them from your collection and converting them (if copyright issues are not a problem). The PSP space is dependent upon the memory card you purchase. Most of the memory cards for PSP are in the denominations of 1, 2, 4, and 8 GB. I not sure what is available above that. I kind of doubt they have one that is 80 GB. If it is then it is quite expensive. So, if your intent it to have a lot of space and you are not so much into the gaming then get the iPod. If you want the games and you are willing to sacrifice the larger hard drive for media then go for the PSP. I have listened to music & movies on both the sound quality is good. In particular the iPod can be quite loud depending on the quality of the digital sound file. Their is also an option of a Zune (30 GB) which is basically like the iPod but larger with a few differences such as the software it uses and physical dimensions of the player, has radio, does not play games (new ones coming out does the games), can functional wirelessly.
- Well, as said before it depends what you really want, however, I never really use things such as PSP's or Phones as my MP3's, I don't really know why. I have a PSP and it is quite large so not really for taking around in your pocket but is great for trips, car journeys and at home. I don't really use my PSP any more but it can be very good. The iPod Classic holds more but only plays music and video. Also the screen is very small so isn't great to watch much on. I possibly have the perfect soloution, you may think I am crazy but the iPod Touch sounds like a great compromise. It has all the features of the Classic and more with a touch screen, full internet, youtube, mail, maps and a good screen for videos, not much smaller than the PSP but is very portable. You can get 32GB or 16GB versions which are plenty as long as you aren't putting loads of movies on and even then you can just change the movies on every time you go out because you aren't going to watch 20 movies before the battery runs out anyway. Not only is it a good screen size like the PSP, and iPod like the Classic and very portable. From early next month there is going to be a new version released called 2.0. It involves lots of new features but mainly something called the "App store" it is a application that allows you to go on the iPod and download apps from games to calenders and news pages. Best of all most of them will be free which gives you loads of games like on the PSP but for free. Also if you want better quality games you can purchase them in the app store, it looks like the best ones will be a maximum of $9.99 which is alot cheaper than a PSP game. Developers include EA and sega with Spore and Super Monkey Ball already confirmed. The iPod Touch is a great gadget and is fun to play on like the PSP, slim and affordable. Heck you could even get the new 3G iPhone released in a few weeks. If you need any more information just message me.
