How Do you get high speed internet on Playstation 3?

My brother just bought a playstation 3 so I hook up our high speed wireless internet to the playstation 3. It runs slow on the playstation 3 and i was told you could get it to go faster or something. Is this true and if so how do I do it? I don't have a router near the PS3.

2. well if you have it connected to the internet wirelessly mak the connection wired you can do this by getting an ethernet cable and plug one end to the ps3 and another to the router
3. I have noticed that i think its just the wireless because i ran it on the Ethernet lead and it was faster but also allow sometime for the internet browser to load because its not like IE on computers. But try it on wired connection and see if it improves
4. When you use a wireless connection it runs really slow, you should just plug in the internet cable on the back of the ps3. I got a 256kb p/s internet connection and its pretty fast for me.
5. Yeah my brother in-law has his ps3 on wireless and I kept getting kicked off games. He has High speed and the router (wireless N) is very close to the console. I won't go wireless for video games. No matter what you end up losing too much speed.
