Do games for windows brand games work on the same computer as a normal pc game would?

Example: I have a windows XP and I play pc games on it. Would games for windows work on it? Are they any different?

well sense its a windows game then i imagine it will work on windows XP
Yes. the Games for Windos logo is there so that PC gamers would know that the game is fully compatible with their PC and other softwares and such and is easy to use as a console game.
Im assuming you mean the feature that is with Vista, that allows certian games link up to the xbox live system more or less. Which is so far just 2 games that I can think of. Halo2 and Shadow runner. And no those would not work on XP as there vista only.But other then that, so far every game that is out will work for XP but in the near feature expect more vista exclusives.
No its all the same a pc game is a game for the pc regardless of wat type of OS u own (unless its really old) U can play a windows game on linux OS if u wanted to cos its a pc relation situation
