  8. From what I got from the internet, it would be selling for US$499 for basic model, and US$599 for the high HDD capacity model....for the games, I assume it will cost around PS2 games are now, so should be around S$80 to S$100? just my guess......
  9. there will be 2 different version. a basic version for US$499 and a premium version for US$599. convert to SGD would be about S$1000 for the premium version. thats very expensive compared to the Xbox360. games wise should be around the same as current ps2 games, which is about S$80 to $100plus for imported versions.

  11. Release day it will cost $599 on November 17th. 20gb version will come out later at $499. Games average cost will be $60 but expect them to be as high as $100 according to Sony. Is it expensive? Nope, remember its not a games console now, its a media hub with wireless, blu-ray and more. Adding the HD-DVD, wireless and all the extras to the xbox to give it the same power will cost over $1000. But its about choice, do you want just a games console? then get a wii or 360, if you want the rest then the PS3 is for you, no where else will offer blu-ray at such a cheap price. Its more like an uber powerful PC for the price of a budget one.
  12. The ps3 will cost 499 for the 20mb system and 599 for the 60mb version, and the games will be around 65-75 dollars each. The new blue ray technology is making the systems more expensive, compared to the new Nintendo wii that will cost only 200-250 dollars it will be a huge difference I'm afraid. Sony has to find a way to cut the cost on the ps3 to make it more affordable. As for myself I'm getting the ps3 because of the game selection and the better graphics on it, although the wii look to be a nice system as well, it just has to many kid games and not enough big adult titles to win me over and I'm not sold on the remote just yet, it looks weird to me.
