- it really depends on what you want, I have an Xbox 360 and i love it. The games are great, i can play any media that's on my computer; movies, music, picture recorded TV on my TV through my Xbox 360 via Media Center. and if you want to play online xbox is way ahead of the curve for online gaming. I also believe you should never buy something the first year. it takes any manufacturer a few revisions to get something right. this coming from someone who has worked in manufacturing all his life. The PS3 has a slight graphic edge but there aren't enough games to buy one yet. if your a casual gamer and just looking for pure fun get a Nintendo Wii. They are a blast. Nintendo concentrated on fun instead of power this time around and they got it right.
- the PS3 is $500 now. it is definitely worth getting. there tons of great games and tons more comming out this year. DONT GET A 360 they have a 33% faiure rate which means 1 in 3 Xbox 360s will break down PS3s have a 1% faiure rate
- I own a Playstation 3 and I am a retailer and I sell them and the game, accessories. You can see the full Playstation 3 catalog on my website at http://www.cheatfusion.net/newplaystation3catalog.htm My price is $599.82 plus tax Yes the Playstaion 3 is pricey but it is the cheapest blu Ray Player. If you go on www.bluray.com you can see the prices of the other blu ray players. The Blu Ray technology in the Playstation 3 is the best because of the Best graphics in games that you will ever see. The reason the games are so much is because the game are made with Blu Ray. The Playstaion 3 will play most Playstaion 2 games and some Playstaion 1 games. It is really intended for the newer PS2 games and Playstation 3 games, Blu Ray Movies. The Playstaion 3 is not guaranteed to play all Playstaion 2 game and Playstation 1 games because the older PS1 games have different formats for each game and that is hard to put in one system.
