Nintendo Wii?
I am going to purchase a nintendo Wii - i am a big fan of the N64 and the games such as ZELDA (best game EVER) Mario party etc. Could anyone reccomened any games worth buying (such as mario party or sonic?) I would also like to know if you can use the remote to have 'sword fights' on the zelda games for the previous nintendo consoles when they are downloaded on the Wii - or if you can only use the remote for the Wii games. thanks

- unfortunately, the wii-mote can't be used on downloaded games. The wii has gamecube/n64 controler ports, and a 'classic controller' that hooks to the wii-mote. actually, the wii mote can be used on some original nes games, held sideways - where the 1 and 2 buttons are a and b. Besides wii sports and zelda, i haven't been especially impressed with wii games :( red steel is hit or miss, depending on who you're talking to.
- I have a wii and I absolutely love it! You can get zelda on the wii and that involves sword fights as does prince of persia. Personally I didn't like sonic rings very much as I found the controls quite difficult to master and the game play is just weird- there are certain modes where you are not sure whether it is you or the console that is controlling sonic. I also have the game cars (the one for the kids movie) and it is OK as far as driving games go, but it is very very very touch sensitive and is almost impossible to control. Given that games are so ridiculously expensive right now, I suggest you sign on to love film. Although this is an online movie rental store they also rent games for the wii, so you can try before you buy. I think they have tariffs starting at less than 5 pounds a month. For some unknown bizarre reason my favourite game at the moment is eledees. Its daft but it is fun
- sorry. the VC games come in a completely unmodified form, so no motion control for them. you'll need to plug in a GC controller or use the wii classic controller. twilight princess, trauma center, and raving rabbids are all worth buying *i just went and searched all over the wii next to my tv, and contrary to what natural plastics says, i cant find any N64 controller ports. only gamecube ones.*
- The games I recommend you buy for the (if you are a big fan of zelda, sonic and mario party) are Sonic and the Secret Rings, Legend of Zelda the Twilight Princess and the upcoming Mario Party 8. I have the first 2 games and I have completed LOZ: The Twilight Princess. From personal experience it is by far the best of any zelda game including the ocarina of time and majora's mask. Sonic and the secret rings is a pretty fast paced although easy to master game. However it does get progressively harder. I dont know about Mario party 8 though as it hasnt come out yet.
