Nintendo Wii?

What are the chances that there will be any Nintendo Wii's left for sale ANYWHERE in the late morning tomorrow - is the Wii's release as anticipated as the PS3's? I mean, are there hardcore gamers lined up everywhere in front of every Target and Best Buy? I actually haven't seen any. And when do the stores open?

  1. im not sure it they will be a line waiting for the wii or not but i do know that there is alot more wiis then the ps3s there should be at least 100 wii per a store and should be easier to get.... if your looking to get one i would recommed that you should show up at least two hours before the store opens just in case...
  2. there should be plenty of wii's left, because children dont camp out or their parents get worry. just get there at 1am and waste $250 on a "LAST GEN" system. i'll be playing resistance on my PS3 against 40 other people online with awesome graphics and no lag and then i'll watch a blue-ray movie and browse the internet too.
  3. Nintendo Wii is a new and ultimate console, however its release is nothing compared to PS3's with its latest handy gadgets like the built in DVD player. I assume mainly everyone would stack up enough money to buy PS3's rather than NintendoWii, so there would be sufficient amount of Nintendo Wii when it i released in nearby store.
  4. personally, i think people will line up. but the hard core gamers have gotten the ps3 I THINK and some already have the wii reserved. i doubt theyll be any after an hour of selling. stores open at different times.
  5. http://www.ps3seeker.com/wii/ You can go there and type in your zip code, and see the number of units that will be released in your local stores - mostly walmart, target, ebgames, toysrus, ect... It's looking pretty good (looking more like 50 than 100 in my area), but at the same time, the holidays are coming fast, and people get pretty rabid about shopping at this time of year - I'd be concerned with insane parents fighting over the inexpensive new video game system. How late is late anyway? As far as things are looking in my area, there's already a line at my walmart, and all the systems they will have are accounted for. Some toysrus (in larger cities) are having a midnight release - that's another idea. If none of that works, I plan on heading to target around 5 or 6am (my local target opens at 8), hanging around outside with a book and a cup of coffee, and hopefully getting one - they said they are handing out tickets at 7am, and not allowing people to camp out overnight. Which means people want to - scary - Good luck to you - and as a last resort, try an fye or frys or something - most people don't think first of music stores when they are looking for video game systems, and people have been known to get lucky that way. :)
  6. They will be easy to get. I've looked into this quite a bit since I won't be able to get on in the middle of the night or even on Sunday. The Game Stop near here has 150 (on top of it's preorders) already in the back room. They said that all game stores in town will start getting lots of them by next week. People think there is a shortage because they aren't allowing any more pre-orders. But Nintendo wants to flood the market and make it so everybody who wants one will have one. The PS3 had problems in production so they only have 400,000 available in the U.S. for a while - that's why they are so hard to get. There will instantly be millions of Wii's. The PS3's hardware is actually similar to the Xbox 360 (actually has less ram than the 360) - the one thing people are going gaga over is the blue-ray player with the PS3 - big deal. So it plays DVD's in Hi-def - wait a year and get a stand alone player for a couple hundred bucks.
