  1. I've heard that Nintendo just cannot keep up with supply vs. demand. I live in the United States and we have the same problem. I work at an electronics store and never have them in stock either.
  2. Bought a Wii console 2 weeks ago from Argos.Ask them to keep one by for you if they are waiting for more to come in!
  3. *grins* I'm a daddy of several kids, and i stood for 16 hours in line to get a Wii for my kids back in mid-december. Truth is, Nintendo is right now totally overwhelmed in demand, it is so bad that they've shifted their production resourced of the NintendoDS away, towards the Wii. The news say that Wii supposedly have surpassed the sales of even the X360 - which has already been out for over a year. Sure you could argue "why dont they put up new factories for more production?", but thats in terms of economics not feasable, since the high demand will subside quite quickly, especially w. the summer months/vacations comming up, and most people not being in-house a lot. Have you tried a so calle "pre-sale order" at your local entertainment electronics store? or online ?
  4. For the most part, they are hard to get here in the US as well. It may have to do with the wrist straps being redesigned. I am sure they don't want to get their bottoms suited off.
  5. it is very difficult to get a wii thankfuly i got mine, but if i were you call every day about the wii and eventually they will tell you when they get them cause trust me they know they just dont tell you. if that doesnt work and you really want one your in a bit of luck cause nnext month there are many rumors of wiis are going to be shipped in and i meean alot. JUST KEEP CALLING EB!
  6. Game were very helpful when I went in - they said they get regular deliveries but of only 1-3 consoles each time. They told me to ring them in a couple of days and they would let me know if they were getting a delivery or not the following day. They couldn't reserve one though. My husband managed to get one from a fairly local Argos in the end, and I think it was a bit of a fluke. I think he managed to find something on the Nintendo website which showed when (and possibly where) wii's were being dispatched. He got onto Argos website, one of the localish stores had just had one delivered and Hubby reserved it! The man in Woolworths predicted that more wii's would become available when the PS3 came out, as it was a bit more competition for Nintendo.
  7. May I remind you that the PS3 is breaking records by the amount of consoles it has sold in europe. Completly thrashing the Wii and 360, just check the stats. You may argue they haven't sold out, but that is because Sony made sure there were 1million PS3 ready for their biggest launch!
  8. why don't you check "www.nowinstock.net" it has a UK version you can have an email alert and you will know when it is in stock
  9. The few UK stores that have had recent stock have sold them immediately via pre-orders. Looks like it could be a long wait before Nintendo get enough volume of the Wii into the UK so stores have the console on their shelves. This website: www.nintendo-wii-game-console.co.uk has been linking to various UK suppliers with the Nintendo Wii console IN STOCK since it's release in December. (I've successfully ordered one myself & 2 for friends)
  10. if you can't find one retail I know you can get one on dialaphone for free if you want a mobile phone
