  1. wii wil stay on top with mario galaxy just coming out.
  2. Xbox360 will not catch up with Wii Sales. I think Bill gates should consider merge with Nintendo and come up with a brand new console in 3 years time so that both hard core and casual gamer can benefit. It will kill Sony unless Sony comes up with idea to produce a console that is cheap.
  3. I don't think the 360 can catch up at all, Wii sales are in a different league and they're targetting a much larger market. Microsoft is trying hard to tap into the casual gamer market but the image of failing hardware for hardcore gamers is difficult to shrug. I think they've lost this one and unless they really can successfully market the 360 to non-gamers and gamers alike they're dealing with much smaller numbers than the Wii is. All Nintendo has to do is keep the Wii talked about, well supplied with innovative and inclusive games and they will dominate like they did with the DS. In a couple of years time, the 360 and the Wii are both going to look a bit long in the tooth, but as the Wii isn't about graphics I don't think it's going to matter so much to Nintendo. Microsoft on the other hand should begin to worry once the full power of the PS3 really starts to show, the 360 is operating pretty much at its limits now, the PS3 is just starting. Microsoft is not only going to lose the casual gamer market to the Wii, it's also going to lose the hardcore gamer market to the PS3 if it's not careful. Microsoft is between a rock and a hard place and xbox live and a great back catalogue won't save it for long. The 360 needs inclusive titles to match the Wii and it needs to utilise the HD add-on and upgrade the multimedia capabilities if it's going to match the PS3. The Wii has sidestepped all of this, changed the reputation and demographic of gaming and given the two "power-pushers" a real headache to boot.
